Christa Straßmayr has worked several years at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Social Psychiatry. Her research expertise includes among other topics mental health promotion for socially marginalised people, migration & health, and the influence of financing mechanisms and inbuilt financial incentives on the quality of mental health care, with a substantial list of publications on these topics. She was the local responsible researcher for the EU projects PROMO and EUGATE, as well as REFINEMENT. She also is an expert in addiction prevention.
