Beate Schrank has been working in different capacities at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Social Psychiatry since 2004. She trained as a psychiatrist at the Department of Social Psychiatry of the Medical University of Vienna, and completed her PhD in Health Services and Population Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London. Her research expertise includes, amongst other topics, the development and evaluation of complex interventions in mental health care using multiple methods. She has conducted research with people with severe mental illness, patients in palliative care and their relatives, and with medical students.
